Thirty years. Two continents.
One direction.
Cris was volunteering at a women's rights organization in Ecuador. Dave was a few miles away at an invasion-land elementary school. They met somewhere in between — with hearts already pointed in the same direction.
They came home, married, and raised two kids on stories of Andean sunrises. When those kids left, what filled the empty nest was a map, a stack of research, and the realization that they'd been leaving travel commissions on someone else's table for decades.
The agency came out of that — invite-only, built around the people they already trust enough to travel with.
The commissions don't sit in an account. They go back out: into a bilingual library and food assistance for a Pueblo Joven school in Lima, into school supplies, into the concrete foundation of a second school nearby. The scholarship program — funding young people to do what Ecuador did for them — is where they're headed next.
